We have had 9/11, The Tsunami, the Iraq war, Maddy and many smaller ones. The big one today is Obamas Inauguration speech. You MUST watch it and you will sense a creation of energy on a scale much much bigger than you have experienced before. If you can go into a gentle meditation while listening to it even better.
