A PAST LIFE OF GEOFF’S – DIED OF SYPHILIS

A PAST LIFE OF GEOFF’S – DIED OF SYPHILIS   By SpiritualDictionary.com

Geoff – I am in a dock area, very well dressed, high hat and suit of clothes which is old fashioned…………. and a lot of sailing ships, three of them that I owned. Miriam (Ishmael) – That is it, you came from a family of bankers. Geoff – I used to bring in foreign goods which were in those days luxuries because they came from foreign lands, but in these days of course it means nothing, but then it was something special and you were considered a sort of an adventurer, a pioneer to bring these sort of things in. Very wealthy, very happy, and an enjoyable, successful life. Miriam (Ishmael) – You had a beautiful silver topped cane, which you treasured enormously, perhaps you can see what was on the top of the cane. Geoff – Yes it is raised up on one side it was a pheasant. Miriam (Ishmael) – Yes, from? Geoff – India. Miriam (Ishmael) – Yes Geoff – The cane was only for status, not for walking, I did not need it to walk. Miriam (Ishmael) – No you did not, it was a power symbol. Geoff – Now I have been on these ships, I did not go on a lot of voyages, only in the beginning, for the adventure, but then it was very……… it took a long time to get anywhere, many months, and I missed the social life, and the fun and the comfort of home. So I sent off my captains to do the buying and the trading and I had a lot of connections, obviously from my father’s banking business. And it was a very, a circle with a lot of etiquette in, where your word was your bond, and you wouldn’t dare do something against this sort of family and trading was very simple basically, it was just a matter of negotiating prices, or basically letting the other people negotiate the prices, they wouldn’t dare fiddle you because it was such a huge, high status banking family. They wouldn’t dream of fiddling, so trading was very easy. Miriam (Ishmael) – Much easier than it is today. Geoff – Yes, and gold coins, I always had a pocket full of gold coins. That is nice. I can see clearly at the moment, the quayside and the taverns, one particular tavern where we used to see the ships off, the cobble stones, the mooring ropes, I can see all the detail. And the town itself and the respect that I had from everybody, they would all bow to me, I was a very powerful person. Not powerful, rich more than powerful. Miriam (Ishmael) –But respected, well respected for the work and they way that you conducted your business. Geoff – And buckle shoes Miriam (Ishmael) – Yes, very stylish Geoff – Wow, very, turned up collar, a cape type of jacket, very stylish. So nice and neat. Miriam (Ishmael) – Yes, very elegant, quite a change to the dress of today. Geoff – Yes, now let’s see what I have to gain in that lifetime. It was an understanding of discipline and sticking together, family, think of the appropriate word, a very solid and reliable family life, you stuck together with your family, you continued at the same level at the same sort of status and it was all working together, you would not dream of going off at a tangent, you had to stick with the family tradition, and the family group, because it was wealthy, became very solid and powerful, as long as you were in that group, you were secure, but the slightest indiscretion or embarrassment to the family was a very bad thing and you would never deem to do such a thing, whatever that might be. Miriam (Ishmael) – No the houses of ill repute were not in your district. Geoff – Right, but it was, you did have mistresses but they were in the same class, which was accepted, but the lesson in the life was to stick together in the group and go along with the flow of the group. Not a very exciting lesson, but an enjoyable one. Miriam (Ishmael) – A question of reaping the harvest for a past life that was not so good. Geoff – Ah well, there is nothing wrong with that. And I died of a disease. (laughs) Miriam (Ishmael) – Yes (laughs) Geoff – I had a great life, but I got a nasty disease in the end, which is not surprising considering the life I led. (Laughs) I always wondered what it was like to die from Syphilis…… at least I died with a smile. Miriam (Ishmael) – Oh you did Geoff – Hmm- a great life. Right let’s see what is next. Miriam (Ishmael) – Something quite different I think
