HOW SPIRITUALDICTIONARY STARTED – 1989 By SpiritualDictionary.com
Geoff – Yeah, well what about teaching spiritualism to beginners.
Miriam (Ishmael) – That would do, because it is taking your mind off your work. That is what we want, take your mind off it.
Geoff – All right. Let’s see what we can find.
Miriam (Ishmael) – And we shall see if we can direct different people to you to help you.
Verna – Yes because we asked the other day, we would like to write a little book, or make a tape for beginners to listen to, to make the explanation of spiritualism very easy and understandable.
Miriam (Ishmael) – Now there is something that will occupy your mind without using the brain part that is used for work, if you can understand?
Geoff – Yes
Miriam (Ishmael) – That is something that can occupy you and give you a different interest. And not too strenuous, put your ideas together and ask for guidance, and we know you will get it, put this tape together, and we know it will be a big help to people.
Verna – Even a nice little book.
Miriam (Ishmael) – A tape or a book, a book is often better because people can pick it up and put it down. They are not always prepared to sit and listen, but a book also that has some laughter in it. Bring in the joy that it brings and the funny parts, bring in your, I nearly said your pink lady, bubble lady, something that makes people think that it isn’t all serious. I haven’t got to be very solemn about these things, I can go into it and it sounds all very enjoyable. That is the sort of thing that you should put down in your book.
Geoff – Hmm that is very interesting.
Miriam (Ishmael) – I will leave you now with that thought, I don’t want to stay too long because Verna is tired.
Verna – Oh no, don’t use me as an excuse!
Miriam (Ishmael) – I won’t, I am just afraid that a request is going to come that I am not prepared to answer. No that is not so.
Verna – No I am teasing you.
Miriam (Ishmael) – So I say goodnight to you and have a good evening and think of what I have said, that you must find something to distract your mind from work. God bless you all.
Geoff – Thank you, bless you.
***
Miriam (White Feather) – I know what I am going to do, I am going to bring reams and reams of paper and you can write down all your ideas, and we can shuffle them about and sort them out and we will see if they are any good.
Geoff – That’s a clever idea.
Miriam (White Feather) – So Verna can do the writing and we will help with it, and Geoff can put his ideas down, and we think it is a very good idea if you can get a book going for beginners. Is there not a book available?
Geoff – Not written in a very casual understandable language.
Miriam (White Feather) – Then that is what you should do, that is something you could aim for, and please put in the laughter, as Ishmael said, for without it I think not many people will be attracted.
Verna – Are we going to do some spiritual writing for this book?
Miriam (White Feather) – Oh you are, I am sure you can, mind you we have only just thought about it when you asked. But we think it is a jolly good idea.
Verna – Yes we do too, we have come across so many people we want to explain it to.
Miriam (White Feather) – And that is something that will take your mind off your work.
Verna – That is wonderful.
Miriam (White Feather) – And you will get a lot of help from this side because it is so badly needed, and maybe you could aim especially for the younger generation, as we have said to you before we would like to bring in the younger ones, and if you could aim for that side I think it could be more help than the older ones.
It is just an idea, so get your brains working and I am not going to say anymore, I really didn’t intend coming, but we just thought it was such a good idea, that I had to say a few words.
Verna – Now who is the big Indian standing beside me saying he wants to channel, and when I said no, he said it doesn’t matter that I am lying down? Very big Indian man.
Miriam (White Feather) – Would you like to sit up and channel?
Verna – He is laughing, he says he doesn’t need me to sit up. I am just wondering who he is.
Miriam (White Feather) – That is Grey Wolf.
Verna – Grey Wolf, he has a great sense of humor.
Miriam (White Feather) – He has.
Geoff – And who is Grey Wolf, just a visitor?
Miriam (White Feather) – No, Grey Wolf is one of my relatives, which is why he laughs so much!
Geoff – That’s understandable.
Verna – And he says laugher is the best medicine so he has come to visit.
(laughs)
Miriam (White Feather) – He is a great uncle, and he is like me, full of laughter, full of fun, but he has not been here before. He said one in the family is enough, he said he didn’t think you could cope with any more, but perhaps now you can, I shall have to watch out or else my feather will be taken away from me.
Verna – Oh never.
Miriam (White Feather) – No, he is just smiling at that, but he will come back again another time. And he is so glad that you have seen him.
Verna – I don’t mind if he wants to talk.
Miriam (White Feather) – You don’t mind?
Verna – No
Miriam (White Feather) – The he will be very pleased. He says take your time.
Verna (Grey Wolf) – Me big Chief Grey Wolf,
Geoff – Welcome Grey Wolf
Verna (Grey Wolf) – No I am just acting for fun, I will not channel for long for I do not like this squeaky voice, but I just wanted to say greetings to Little White Feather’s friends.
Geoff – I like that.
Verna (Grey Wolf) – He does not! We are a family of laughter, we have always thought that laughter is the best medicine.
Miriam – May I ask, is it possible to put your names in the book that Verna and Geoffrey are thinking about writing? Or would that not be right?
Verna (Grey Wolf) – I would be honored, but first I will return and give you something worth writing about. Yes you have many volunteers already, so you will have to be choosy.
Geoff – We could get a quote from each person couldn’t we?
Miriam – Yes that’s right, make a story.
Verna (Grey Wolf) – You have to make these stories feasible for the reader.
Geoff – Yes, very basic and not so religious, so that people don’t consider it to be a religious exercise. More a way of life.
Verna (Grey Wolf) – What is going to be the hard part of your book, is to define the difference between living God’s way and spiritualism. There is no difference, and yet you want those who want to live God’s path, who do live God’s path to turn to spiritualism, and those who are interested merely in the clairvoyance, you would like to switch them just from the spiritualism and enhance the clairvoyance more clearly, and turn that into a path of God’s way. And that is going to be your hard part, this simple little book is not going to be so simple, but it could be, we will guide you on the right path, maybe even I will trespass a little and come and give you a hand, but there have been others that have done this before, and they will be the ones to help you. Yes you will have many helpers because although it is simple, it must be guidance to the truth, and that is why spiritualism and the path of God is so hard to explain.
Because people, so many people are interested and excited in the clairvoyance for their own benefit. God’s path is for the benefit of others. You have to put the one together with the other, but if you can help those who have bereaved, or are bereaved, and if you can help those who lose children, and if you can help those with incurable diseases, and teach them the path of spiritualism and God’s way, even on their death bed, and make the passing over for these people a pleasure.
Geoff – Yes, there are many angles.
Verna (Grey Wolf) – In fact you could write many little books, do not think of one. I see a little box and I see many little books, and I see one little book, for teenagers, they are small, for the young ones, like what White Feather was talking about. And one for the family, who has an illness, a sadness, and one for those who lose children.
Geoff – Yeah there are lots of things that you could do. Lots of angles to get into the market basically, something to attract people, because when you are emotionally upset, that is when you normally turn to religion, and you turn to the nearest religion that is going or the one that offers you the most sanctuary or friendship. So what we are saying that if you have a bereavement in the family and get hold of the right book about bereavement, that might just teach them the right way.
Verna (Grey Wolf) – We look forward to your progress, I will leave you now. God bless you, I am going off with my White Feather, I am glad that I came along and that I was spotted, bless you all.
Geoff – Thank you, bless you.
Verna – I am just getting one thing very clearly here, is that we mustn’t read other books, to help us write our books, because that way we will pick on other people’s ideas, they would rather help us, even if it takes longer, it must come from our hearts and our helpers. Not from other people. So we mustn’t do research work with other books.
