1165 New tolerance in Israeli war (Nov 24)

Geoff starts the meditation and a Guide takes over to chat to the group

And what she’s left us with is overlooking a city. It’s dawn. It’s a seems to be a middle eastern city. It seems to be surrounded by desert. I know what Dubai looks like. This is a much smaller one. It might just be symbolic. Anyway, let me just go there. Ok, this is a new city in the Middle East. This is going to be a wakeup call for let’s say for modern religions in the Middle East.

They just sort of show me the three wise men, and the stars, symbolic, Jesus days. So, it’s that religion in that particular area. Now, this is Israel-Jerusalem. Okay, so I presume this would then mean the Israeli-Gaza war that’s going on at the moment.

That fits. And it’s a new tolerance, not a religion, it’s a new tolerance. The problem with Israel and Palestine is that the majority of the world don’t understand the origins of who lived in that land. Of course, if you take the examples that the Israelis give, is that in Jesus’ days, he was born in Jerusalem, he was born in Israel basically,
and he was Jewish, he was an Israelite. So it is their land, but lands get conquered and they change ownership and backwards and forwards. But Israelis are stubborn, they say it is their land, it is a holy land. And they are so strict, so stubborn about it. The same as the Palestinians are stubborn about their land, Palestine. And without one of them giving in, they are not going to get anywhere. So this is where this new tolerance comes in. The war that is going on at the moment is interesting but it needs to be brought to a head, to be sorted out once and for all, to clean things up so
that things can change, so that new ideas can be brought forward and a new way of living together. At the moment, even if there were peace there, it is not a comfortable way to live because you’ve got a huge concrete fence dividing one from the other and minefields and all sorts of things keeping the two apart. When the two could live comfortably together.

And if you think how they’ve lived in the last 10, 20 years, the Palestinians have gone over to the Israeli side to work and to shop and to sell. They’re going back and to forwards all the time. Supplies go through Israel to Gaza. It’s pretty common where you get a country which is ruled by a government which is not a government for the people. You have one here with the ANC.

They’re in it for themselves. They don’t listen to the people. And this is quite common. It’s the same thing in Palestine there, which is basically a very sort of poor but very happy country. They now have Hamas, which is a terrorist group, who are so obsessed with kicking out the Israelis, that they don’t think of the people themselves in Gaza.

And now they’ve just seen the result of this. Now, what are those local people gonna do in Gaza? They should want to kick out Hamas. There’s a little bit more to it than that. But that’s the basic idea.

So what we’re doing is really changing the minds of the people in Gaza to get rid of terrorism. Once they get rid of terrorism, then there can be an acceptance of peace. On the Israeli side, they don’t want to see mass murder anymore. They don’t want to see Hamas-lopping rockets over, wiping out a thousand of their people and children being butchered. But they don’t want to see the opposite either, with them going into Palestine and wiping out 10,000 people. They don’t want that, they want peace.

So both sides are stubborn,

Geoff(Guide)
So this is where they need a new form of energy, so both of them will get clarity to be able to see what is the best thing to do to establish peace. Now on the fringes, you’ve got all these international countries, and they’re all trying to add their little bit to get peace and so on, but they want it for their particular political gain. They’re not thinking just of the Israeli and Palestinian people. They’re thinking what’s the benefit for them.

Sharon
Yeah, so they can get points with their population and so on. So that’s causing a lot of problems. And what you’ve got there is huge amounts of group energy.

Geoff(Guide) So take Iran, for example, who hate the West, who hate America, and therefore hates Israel. So you’ve got all this energy of hatred building up in Iran against Israel. So that doesn’t help, and those need to be sorted out as well. But as we’ve been discussing in the last few weeks, there’s lots of new energies coming along to water down these wars and these disputes, the civil unrest, so that can be sorted out, so there can be a peaceful way forward. But often the best way to do it is to let the boil burst, to let things happen like they have in Israel and Palestine, so there can be an expectation if this happens again.

Geoff: Now I’m seeing something inland of the West Bank. The West Bank has a lot of little Palestinian Estates, if I want to have a better word, areas which are walled off, if you like, specifically for Palestinian people, where Jews are not allowed in. So it’s their state. There are just these pockets all over. So they don’t really cause a problem because they’re so easy to annihilate basically. If they start lobbing rockets, Israel can just wipe one out in a blink of an eye. That’s very simple. But just north of that, There’s a group of, also a group of terrorists that are going to join in, that already are involved in the conflict. It’s very small scale at the moment, but they have, they could have huge backing. Now, we’ve discussed Turkey the other day, and Iran is the biggest problem. But Turkey and Iran have their allies which support them and they’re like puppets if you like to those two major countries. Syria is one, Lebanon. Now it just takes the wrong people at the wrong time to escalate is further. You know, you get the, let’s just say, whatever this terrorist group is called, Hezbollah, I think. Yeah. Let’s just say that their generals are very unhappy with the war that’s going on. It doesn’t take much for somebody to stir up and say, right, let’s just lob a few rockets at Israel.
You know, let’s get involved, let’s do our bit. And it could escalate very quickly. It’s a very tricky situation. And what the Israelis are doing is they are trying to just quash everything with power as quickly as possible just to make sure that escalation simply doesn’t happen.

Geoff (Guide)
Now also in Israel there are three  groups, maybe three political parties, I’m not sure, but three voices if you like. So the point of that is, it’s not all Israelis that are in agreement of what’s happening in Palestine.

One for political reasons, they’re trying to take down Netanyahu, Prime Minister. So they’re using that as just an excuse which is the wrong thing to do. But, politics are not what we’re involved in. We must let them sort themselves out and we will help where we can then from the outcome we can start to rebuild and hopefully that extends into the Middle East.
