Numerology

Your name and birth date are no coincidence—they are intentional, serving as your unique, authentic signature and reflecting your inner self.

Through numerology, you can uncover who you truly are on the inside, while also exploring your personal yearly cycles. Some years are action-packed, filled with opportunities to pursue new ideas, while other years call for quiet reflection and going with the flow.

Numerology has proven invaluable in understanding life’s natural rhythms. While we are meant to experience life’s ups and downs, learning to align with its flow is one of the greatest gifts that numerology offers.

Numerology is the study of numbers. Using it we can discover so much more about how and why you ‘tick’ as you do. It can help you to discover your strengths and weaknesses and your emotional response to things and people. It can help you to get a better understanding  of how to deal with others – family, friends and colleagues. You can discover which temperament plain you function best on – physical, mental, emotional or intuitive.  The best years to take action, or the years to step back and be receptive to what occurs.

Using your date of birth and all the names you were given at birth we can discover all of the above. It seems that the universe gave us certain tools we can use to help navigate our daily lives. Astrology, Tarot, palm readings, numerology to name but a few. So just as we have spiritual guides to help us on the higher plain we also have these other tools to help us understand our human side.

Your understanding of how to react and relate to other members of your family or friends can be taken from a superficial level to a deeper understanding.

In numerology we mainly use the numbers 1 – 9. We arrive at one of these numbers by reducing everything to a single digit.

In general terms, using numerology, all people born in the last century were much more aware of living separate lives because 1900 has a value of 1. Number 1 is the number of Individuality, independence and going it alone. Whereas people born in the 2000’s will be much more aware of being ‘related’ to other people. Number 2 is the number of relationships and co-operation.

The use of numbers can be taken down to the nth degree. Does your house number resonate with your core numbers? What about your phone number or your email address? Are they helping you to go with the flow of your life or hindering you? Are you in a relationship that will stand the test of time? Is your business partner the right one for you?

Even colours and jewellery have a place in numerology. For instance the major number in my core is 6, so it is no surprise that I love the colour indigo. The jewellery I resonate with are sapphires and lapis lazuli. My wardrobe is full of navy-blue clothes!

There are no scientific reasons why numerology works and I can’t explain it except to say that I have used it for years to help myself and other people and I know it works.

Numerology is talked about in the Kabbala. Pythagoras is said to have used it along with other mathematical studies. To paraphrase from one of my guru’s :- Matthew Oliver Goodwin  – the modern era of interest in numerology started in the States at the turn of 19th century. Early last century the work was taken up by other American students of the subject and I remember my late grandmother  ( who was brilliant at numerology, astrology, tarot, astral travelling and on and on……..!) giving me my first book on numerology entitled ‘Your days are numbered’ by Florence Campbell in the 1970’s. It is long out if print now but I believe copies can be found on rare book sites at inflated prices.
